The beat has always flowed through the veins of Mathias Gmünder aka Mat.GE. The bass is his heartbeat, the melody his soul. Music is everything to him. Initial forays into hip hop, rock and other styles of music quickly led him to electronic music, for which he is so passionate.
When the native of the Rheintaler borrows DJ Antoines “Mainstation” in 2003, it clicks: House is his first great love, to which he has remained true to this day.
When he moved in 2008, the 33-year-old got to know and love the club scene in Winterthur and Zurich. At that time he got to mix it through a DJ friend who also gave him his first controller, a DDJ-T1. Mathias quickly made progress on the turntables and was inspired by artists like Manon, Kellerkind or Midas 104.
Passion, a sense of rhythm and a feeling for the audience have always been his companions and he has already inspired dance enthusiasts in Bellevue in Zurich, in Krempel in Buchs SG, in the Green Club or in the Albani. But he will always have a special relationship with the Kornhaus. As a regular from the very beginning, the music lover associates much more with the club than enjoying music at its best: For him, the Kornhaus is his room, his home, a good atmosphere and family.
And everyone knows: It's best at home!

He was always fascinated by the electronic music culture in Zürich and became a part of it with the first parties he threw with friends.
His taste of music also comprises many styles what he refers to as "50 shades of house". Lately he refound his love for raves and melodic and dark techno.
People say that the most amazing sound one will ever hear is the one of a Robot having an orgasm. Second to this however, is the sweet sound that DJ Naceo puts into your ears.
Music connoisseurs and party goers alike have often referred to his DJ sets as "decent", "pretty good", or "something people listen to". One thing is for certain though, everytime Naceo hits the stage he will take your ears on a magical journey of unicorns, rainbows and dolphins, and probably sea turtles too.
Martin did grow up in Eastern Germany in the mid 80s where his love and passion for music was influenced by the wave sound his brother was listening to. In the late 90s he started to enter the club scene which at that time was all about the sound from the US - from Detroit Techno to Disco & House from Chicago.
Fascinated by the power of music and the love of giving people a good time on the dancefloor he started DJ‘ing in 2014 with a controller, developed to time code vinyl and did end up with classic vinyl.
This was the time where he also started to buy and collect vinyl for his several gigs across Germany. In 2016 he moved to Zürich and did bring his good vibe and exceptional taste of music to the 25 Hours Hotel, Frauenbadi and several other public or private events.
With founding Miamy Whyz in 2021 he started to organize a secret rooftop event which gained cult status with the blink of an eye. His love for music and intriguing personality gets expressed by progressive / deep house, but still you can hear his musical roots characterized from Chicago House to Detroit Techno, Nu Disco and Indie Dance.
